Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

  • These terms and conditions refer to the purchase of one or more tickets to Whistleblowers: Voices of Justice on Friday 10 May 2019.
  • The closing date for registration is Sunday 5 May 2019.
  • We reserve the right to extend the registration closing deadline.
  • Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred between individuals by emailing details of the changed delegate details, etc., to the conference organiser, costantino.grasso@coventry.ac.uk
    Please note, that there is no refund for non-attendance.
  • It is, however, possible to send a replacement person without incurring any extra cost. In this case, contact the organisers on costantino.grasso@coventry.ac.uk to inform them about the change. Please ensure any changes are made at least 24 hours in advance of the event.
  • The conference is hosted by the Coventry University who reserve the right to exclude any delegate/guest exhibiting behaviour which is not appropriate to this kind of event. This would result in no refund of event fees or other costs.
  • When registering for this event, applicants waive the right to appeal against any decision made to refuse or limit access to the event.
  • Receipt of an application and/or payment does not constitute acceptance. Applications and payments that are not accepted will be returned.
  • Coventry University reserves the right to employ photographers to take photographs and videos (live stream and recorded) of delegates/guests at the event. We reserve the right to use any imagery taken of delegates/guests at an event for marketing and advertisement purposes, without any further approval.
  • You will be allocated one place per ticket.
  • Please be advised that photography/ recording/ live streaming will be taking place at this event. Flash photography may also be used.
    • If you do not wish to appear in any imagery captured, please tell us at Registration on the day itself so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included in image footage or shots. We regret that we are unable to take individuals out of group shots.
    • The imagery will be used by the Coventry University Group for marketing and publicity-related purposes and used in other University publications and that they may be published on the University website or other website or elsewhere and on social media. They may also be included in Coventry University Group publications and published on the University website. For further information about how the recordings/ images will be used, email studio.mea@coventry.ac.uk
    • The personal data and video/photographs taken will be securely held by the University for a period of 3 years. You can stop the University using your images at any time, in which case they will not be used in future publications but may continue to appear in publications already in circulation. To withdraw your consent after the event, please contact studio.mea@coventry.ac.uk
    • You have the right to access information held about you, by making a data subject access request by contacting Data Protection Officer at DSAR@coventry.ac.uk
    • You also have the right to apply for erasure, rectification, withdrawal of consent, blocking, and destruction of inaccurate personal data relating to you from the University Group’s electronic and manual systems provided that the University does not have to retain the data for legal reasons.

  • In the event of any situation that prevents you or any of your guests from attending, for example transport strikes, adverse weather conditions, acts of God, terrorist attacks or personal health, Coventry University will not be held responsible and is unable to offer refunds, but alternative guests will be accepted by notification to the organising team, i.e. up to 24 hours prior to the event. The venue may be unable to amend any changes to dietary requirements at short notice. If however, something occurs that stops the event taking place, you will be entitled to a refund.
  • You will be responsible for the cost of any travel or accommodation expenses.
  • Personal Property: Coventry University London Campus accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
